I finally got a new vinca! For those of you who never visited me in Orlando, you should know that I had a nice little balcony greenery area going on at my apartment there, which all started with a purple-flowered vinca named Guido. My friend Kristen and I found Guido near death in a movie theater parking lot--"If he's still sitting there when the movie's over," I told her, "I'm taking him home and saving him." He was there, so I took him. We went to the Fashion Square mall after the movie, and when we got there I got some water in a bottle and took it to water Guido in the car. And over the next few weeks, I nursed him back to health and named him, and then one morning I went outside and he had purple flowers, so I decided he was gay. But he gave me plenty of little Guidos, some of whom (I hope) live on. Of the few plants I brought along with me here, the only one who really survived the winter was my bonsai tree, who currently isn't doing well at all. Probably a lost cause. But I've missed having a variety of plants to look after, so I'm starting up again on a smaller scale. I started growing some flowers from seeds, which are starting to sprout nicely. But I'd been wanting to get a new vinca, so today I got a white-flowered one I'm naming Perry. He's cool:

Can't really see his flowers, but they're white and preddy. :)
Oh, and I told Holly I'd take some pictures around the apartment too.. haven't really gotten around to that yet, but here's one I took a few weeks ago of our living room. I wish I had a decent digital camera, so you could really make out details. The entertainment center in the corner is mine, and decorated by me. Very cool. In fact, I'm gonna go get a good picture of it, I think, so you can see how gay I really am. But anyway.. Damn, we have a lot of crap, don't we? :)
