Monday again?
Dec. 3rd, 2001 06:24 pmI was just watching the news. Interesting stuff. A lady in Kentucky gave birth to 4 boys yesterday, but they weren't quadruplets. They were actually 80% of a set of quintuplets--a girl was born on November 16th. Over 2 weeks apart! Apparently the mother said that the daughter "wanted out of the group." Ha! Meanwhile, in New York City, a new attraction is a bicycle, about a block from where the World Trade Center towers stood, which has been chained to a lamppost since the morning of the attacks. It's obviously presumed that the owner was in the buildings when they fell, so it's become a shrine of sorts. I'm actually curious as to how long it will stay there, you know?
Meanwhile, in other news, I found out today that my company is going to begin offering tuition reimbursement--100% for any and all fields of undergraduate study--in January. It will be available to all full-time employees past their 1-year anniversary. When do I reach my 1-year anniversary? January. Almost too convenient, no? So I'm thinking I might see if I can get into a few recording classes at MTSU next semester and get my parents to pay for it--then I can pay them back and afterwards roll the tuition reimbursement to the next semester. It's a good opportunity that I really should not pass up.
Also thinking very seriously about getting a dog. Really I've wanted one for a long time, but it's feeling like a good time. Well, not just yet, because I'm going to be working too much in the coming weeks. And I really should get more financially stable anyway. But now that I'm thinking of getting one, I can't wait to do it! Though it would be mine and Heather's, really--she had a dog in Texas and really wants one again. We're in agreement about what general sort of dog we want--we just need to find one to adopt us. :) I was looking through our pet book section at work tonight and getting even more inspired. Think I'll look into some pet-related websites after I'm done here.
And actually.. I'm done here. :)
