Have to also document the Munchkin cuteness, of course! :)
In addition to me riding Everest and Heather going on the Kali River Rapids (no wait since it wasn't a hot day), we also took a stroll on the Pagani Forest Trail and also took a ride on the Kilimanjaro Safari. All a lot of fun for us, but Munchkin really enjoyed those as well. She's just so quick at picking up names of things--we saw okapi, and in no time she was saying "kapi". At one point there's underwater observation windows where you can see fish and the occasional hippo, and she got quite a kick out of watching the hippos glide by. Fun stuff. :)
And she loves to read. Kinda drives Heather crazy, because Munchkin will bring her one book after another, plop it down on her lap, and say, "Read!" But she really knows what she's looking at. For Christmas she got a little set of Winnie the Pooh board books, and they're favorites of hers. She'll flip through and identify everything she sees. "Pooh! Pigget! Tigger! Owl!" In one of them there's a picture of Pooh on a swing--she sees that and says "Wheeee!" Last night she was looking at a book with pictures of trucks and farm equipment, and making all kinds of motor-y sound effects that I had no idea she'd picked up. She doesn't like to go to sleep until we do, but she's starting to tell us when she wants to--she says "Night night", and when we lay her down on the bed she looks at the light on the ceiling fan and says "Yiiy" (her version of 'light') to let us know she wants the light off. It's all very cute.
Hmm.. that reminds me that I need a new icon. This one is pretty old, and she's much more expressive now. Hafta work on that this weekend! :)
And that reminds me--it's almost the weekend! No plans yet, though we're hoping to get my W-2 so we can figure out how much of a refund we get. Once we know, maybe I can order my new lens! We also want to get a couch. Right now we just have Heather's old futon, which leaves something to be desired in the comfort department. We're going to move that out into what used to be Heather's sewing and craft room--now it's going to be our library and craft room. We moved her sewing desk into Munchkin's room, since it's not like Munchkin sleeps in there--now she can sew while Munchkin plays or reads out in the hall, so that works out better anyway.
I say Munchkin too much. Oh well. :)
