Tee Gee Eye Eff, again.
Nov. 7th, 2008 11:23 amBusy weekend ahead! This evening I'm heading home (hopefully) a little early so we can eat and head out to EPCOT. Night Ranger is playing tonight, whoo-hoo! What? I like them, okay? "Sister Christian" is a good song, dammit! And so is "Sentimental Street." So there. I've actually been meaning to make an mp3 playlist called Guy Kellys Who Rock, full of songs from bands with male members (and solo artists) named Kelly. Night Ranger qualifies thanks to drummer/vocalist Kelly Keagy. This is important to me, in case you don't know, because I too am a guy named Kelly. So there. Also on the list are the Stereophonics (Kelly Jones), Cry of Love (Kelly Holland), Quiet Riot (Kelly Garni), Kelly Joe Phelps (blues guitar/vocals), Kelly Lancaster (guitar/mandolin), Robert Kelly 'Rob' Thomas (or Matchbox 20 and solo fame).. that's enough for now. :)
Tomorrow morning we'll head downtown for the annual Veteran's Day Parade. Heather's VFW band is performing at Wall Street Plaza, which is pretty cool. So I'll go along with the kids, and we'll check out the parade and maybe take a walk around Lake Eola, since it's been forever since we did that.
Then Sunday Cypress Gardens is offering $5 admission, and we're all over that. They did something similar 2 years ago, right around Hermione's 2nd birthday, and that was our first (and last) time going there. Pretty nice park! Some good scenery and rides, including Hermione's first roller coaster (at 2!). Since then they've added a wooden coaster that they brought in and rebuilt from somewhere else, which looks pretty cool. That should be fun, and the weather looks pretty decent all weekend.
I don't think I mentioned that I had my first paying photography gig last weekend! Just taking some portraits of a dude for a professional directory, and we also did some shots with his kids. It was a good experience, though I have to say the shots were not my best work. Oh well, that's whay I'm charging bargain prices to start out, right? And anyway, being my own worst critic, I know that what I consider so-so other people think looks pretty okay. So here's hoping.
Okay, back to work. Kind of a crazy week around here, so I'm glad it's almost over. Still more work to get done, though. Bah.
