Hmmm.

So Tuesdays are the day the girls have Science Club--it's at a neat little nature preserve about a half hour away, and it runs from 4-5:30pm or so, which means the house is empty from around 3:30-6pm. Since it's a slow day here, I was planning to leave early anyway, but it presents a small dilemma: do I leave early enough to make it home in time to tag along with the family? Or do I leave a little later and instead enjoy a couple quiet hours at home?

If it was me, I am all for the latter. I never, ever get any time alone at home so when I do, I cherish it!

Yeah, that's kinda the way I'm leaning. For me it's time to catch up on what we call Boy Movies--the action and horror and rough stuff that makes the girls cry even if they're in another room. ;)

Good way to look at it, my inner Libra salutes you as well. :) Most of my "me time" is actually here at work, which I think doesn't count all that much--it's kid-free time but it's still not time where I can do whatever I want. At home I do get some too, but the family generally comes first. So I think I will take the opportunity to go crash on the couch with a movie no one else in the house would enjoy. ;)

I say enjoy some quiet time.

Done, thanks for the vote to make me feel less guilty. Not that I felt all that guilty anyway. Hee hee. :)

I'm too late, but I would have chosen the quiet time option. Though based on the comments, it sounds like that's what you chose. It's nice to have time to ourselves every now and then, especially if we're constantly around the same people.

I agree. I love my family and love spending time with them, but it's nice to have the house to myself now and then!
