Yeah, the desk in my previous office was pretty industrial. Plastic/formica type desktop and grey-painted metal otherwise. Wood is so much nicer. The main drawback is that it could be a little bigger and offer more storage. The overhead cabinets (and lights!) are nice, but the two big drawers you can almost see at the left of the first photo are really it for storage otherwise. There's one little drawer under the desktop, but it's really only big enough for pens and small stuff. Not too shabby, though. :)
