Yeah fair enough! I wouldn't be bringing mine to work so there's that anyway, but I suppose cheap would be the way to go for learning, that way I don't spend a lot of money and end up hating it - though I seriously doubt that. I wish I had properly invested my time in the bass while I had it.

Thanks for the information though, really! I'll check it out and I'm sure I'll post about it if I end up doing it. I do have someone that would likely be willing to give me pointers and lessons via video as well so I guess it's really all in my court for getting started. Thanks again!
