wtf?

Okay, I've gotta say it. This is stupid. Stupid. A 62-year-old giving birth. Don't get me wrong--if it had just happened, by some miracle, that this woman got pregnant and managed to carry to term, I guess that just goes in the freaks-of-nature department. But noooo, she was knocked up via in vitro fertilization, and I'm sure massively dosed with hormones to be able to complete the pregnancy. Again, maybe if she was childless and her one wish in this world was to have a child before she dies, that could be chalked up in the still-stupid-but-also-kinda-sweet category. But noooo, this is her TWELFTH child, and she already has TWENTY grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, not to mention she already also has a 3-1/2-year-old! Gratuitous and stupid, even if she didn't look like total trailer trash to begin with. Now she has 2 young children who will end up changing *her* diaper when they get home from elementary school, and going to her funeral when they're teenagers. Thanks, Mom.
