This is a crazy story. 37-year-old woman and her husband have 2 daughters, but the husband wants more. Clock is ticking at her age, so they undergo fertility treatments and in-vitro fertilization and crank out a set of triplets. Here we are three years later and she gives birth again--to quadruplets! No drugs this time, and it actually sounded like the pregnancy was accidental. Sheesh, quite an accident to bring you from 5 to 9 kids in one shot. But the *real* kicker? The whole family--2 adults and (when the quads get out of the hospital) 9 children--live in a 1-bedroom apartment. That kinda tells me that even the first 2 kids were more than these people were equipped to handle, and now they have 9. Fabulous. But what the heck, I'm sure the charity will start rolling in if the media gives their story enough play.
Went to Islands of Adventure after work last night--it was too warm and too muggy, but just a little, so it wasn't too bad. Their carousel is rather faster than the one at the Magic Kingdom, but munchkin is getting more used to it. She also enjoyed the Cat In the Hat ride even though we couldn't get them to disable the spinning. She actually seemed to like that since it reminded her of the teacups. :) We were going to take her on the new High-In-the-Sky Seuss Trolley Train Ride too, but that actually has a height requirement! 34 inches, and she's only 32. Ah well, won't be long before she adds the 2 inches. :)
Speaking of munchkin, she (and Heather, of course) are coming to have lunch with me today. I'm glad we're getting back into that habit. Better get back to work so I don't feel guilty to leave the office for lunch!
