kv0925This is pretty darn cool: Ashes and Snow.
This morning we drove out to the town of Ponce Inlet, which is literally a stretch of road between the ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway (the Halifax River in those parts). We went to check out the Ponce Inlet Light Station, the tallest lighthouse in Florida. Pretty neat stuff! Took lots of pictures, of course--if any of them are any good, I'll post a few later on. Kinda wore me out, though, climbing all those stairs! At least I'm not feeling so sickly today.
Also got a new mouse last night! It's sexy. For some reason the mouse on this PC just died yesterday, which is sad even though it was VERY old and pretty cheap to start out with. So my new one is an optical, and I feel like I should be ashamed to say it's my first optical mouse. But what the heck, ball mice always worked fine for me as long as I scraped the gook off the rollers now and then!
Okay, better go watch the munchkin. She was playing the guitar a little earlier, sounded pretty good. :)

Date: 2006-01-22 03:17 pm (UTC)Anyway, the lighthouse was pretty sweet! My wife doesn't care for heights, so she didn't make the climb. I'm afraid of heights myself, but only when there's nothing to grab on to, y'know? So I dug it. :)
We didn't eat at the Lighthouse Restaurant, but I'm sure we'll go out there again sometime--we might have to give it a try!
