Another Monday, another update..

Looks like I haven't posted since before my doctor visit last Tuesday. I survived, as you can see. :) Actually, it wasn't bad at all. That had to be the lowest pulse and blood pressure readings I've ever had at a doctor's office. Maybe I'm growing out of that whole phobia, or at least better able to control it? Well, I wouldn't go that far. It might have been a different story if they'd brought out the needles, but they don't do on-site labwork anymore, so instead I'm supposed to go to a lab myself to give a blood sample. I know I should, but I have a feeling I'll conveniently forget all about it. :)

Hm, what else.. lots of lunches out last week. Heather and munchkin came Tuesday (just in case I died at the doctor, you see), Thursday I went out with a couple of colleagues from the call center, and Friday I went out with my department for a birthday luncheon--our VP's birthday was last Wednesday, and mine is today. So that was nice.

Yep, today I'm 31, which is one of those ages at which I somehow never pictured myself. Though I guess that has applied for every year past 25! I'm not really the type to want any sort of fuss over my birthday, so I'll be quite content to have a quiet day at work. Maybe the wife will come have lunch with me, that would be a good treat for the day.

We did have a nice weekend.. Saturday we got up early and hit the road to get to Lake Wales before 9am. That let us get into the Bok Sanctuary for half-price! Neat place, that. Good walk through the woods, some nice gardens, and the so-called Singing Tower was very cool. We'll have to remember that place. The city of Lake Wales looked neat, too--they have a 1920's-era downtown, pretty well preserved, that would be well worth a stroll on a cooler day.

Sunday morning we woke up and decided to head out to the Magic Kingdom for a while. Very nice, but as usual it got too hot too quickly. Still, before we'd had enough I got to go on Big Thunder Mountain and Splash Mountain, so I was happy.

Did I mention that we picked up a backyard climbing toy for munchin? Man, she loves that thing. She'll spend as long as we'll let her just climbing up and going down the slide and going right back up again. Very cute. It's making her quite the climber, though--after getting so much practice on that thing, she's more than happy to tackle any playground we take her to. She can't climb ladders or nets just yet, but I'll bet it won't be long!

Okay, I think I'm going to have lunch now. I thought about going out for lunch since it's my birthday and all, but I've been eating out a lot lately. Besides, I'd rather ask the boss if I can cut out early instead. Seems like it might be a good night to head out to MGM and ride my favorite rides there as a birthday treat.

We got married at Bok Tower. It makes me sick to see all the subdivisions butted up against the place. Most of the trails no longer exist there too. But always bring peanuts! OH, I should have told you...or you should always check in with me before you do anything that I've done! (HA HA HA!) http://www.boksanctuary.org/education/children.html READING BASKETS! Piglet did it when he was little-little and it was brand new so hopefully it's just as good but you get a basket at the front desk and in it is a blanket to sit on and a book and a toy to go with the book! Munchkin is the perfect age!

Happy birthday, old man! BAH HA hahahahahahahahaha

Ha, cool! When we were there we remarked that it would be a great place to get married, especially if they could get the carillon involved. :) We did read up enough to know about the reading baskets, so we totally did that! Munchkin liked it. :) They still had a 3/4 mile trail through the scrub, which was pretty nice. There's a walled subdivision going up literally right outside the place, though--it's even called TowerGate! Money-grubbing bastards.

And thanks.. 31, sheesh. At least I'm a prime number again!

Yup, the carillon is somewhat involved. You time everything right and the carillon plays as you do your walk-out.
Unless you have a selfish cunt of a mormon foster mother who held up the entire wedding because her friends hadn't shown up yet.
Bitch.

But I digress.
Great Satan's Nipples! How do you math-brains remember things like prime numbers? LOL LOL LOL We did that like....5th grade and I haven't done them since. Seriously, my 10 year old knows more math than I do. He has an awesome book, Saxon Math. Good thing he isn't relying on me to actually teach it to him.
Am I a prime number? I'll have to ask the boy when he gets home from drum practice. LOL LOL LOL LOL

Heh, it's just one of those things that sticks in my brain. Sometimes when I hear or see a number, my first thought is whether or not it's prime. This makes me a supreme geek, first class. :) I presume you're still in your 30's? if you're 31 or 37, you're a prime number. If you're past 37, you have to wait until 41. :)

I'm a prime.
Is that like...a gold star sort of thing?

Exactly, just add it to the list of things that makes you special. :) But only until you turn 38, when you'll just be like two 19-year-olds put together. :)

Happy Birthday!! Did you have a good day? :)

Thanks! Well, my birthday itself was nothing special since I had to come to work as usual, I didn't get to leave early, and Mondays usually give me a headache, so I didn't feel like going out when I finally got home. But we had a nice evening at home, and a good weekend beforehand, so overall it was good. :)
