So...

Hallie and my step-sister--she lives in North Carolina, but took a quick drive down here last weekend so we met her at my Dad's. Which reminds me, I really need to post about that.

Munchkin in the pool. This was the first time she swam in a lifejacket, which was a big step for her. She usually refuses anything but an inflatable tube. She still hates getting her face wet, but we're working on it.

Hallie on the Flying Carpets ride at the Magic Kingdom. It was hot. :)

This guy (a brown thrasher, by the way) has been hanging out on the tree outside my office window fairly regularly--finally got a decent picture of him. It's not quite as sharp as I'd like, but *you* try handholding a manually-focused 500mm lens at 1/50 sec!
I feel a little bad--my photographic output lately hasn't been very good. Some good shots of the kids, but not much else aside from pics of the work on the piano, which are (literally) as exciting as watching paint dry. :) We need to go hiking or something so I can get some good nature shots. Tomorrow morning is the monthly bird walk at Lake Lotus, but I can't make it because Heather has a concert for Flag Day.
